After being in a rock and roll band and moving west, I knew I had to do something more useful like connecting with spirit more. It wasn’t just about getting up and making ends meet. I had a calling that I had to do something. 

     Free to Be Me Drum Circle has conducted workshops and local community events to help people through their music.  Through drums, timbales and other instruments, my group of volunteers have performed for mentally challenged children, teenagers from poor neighborhoods, convalescent hospital patients, and even prison inmates, in addition to monthly community drum circles.

     As a Native American I strongly believe in the power of having a strong spirit and helping others, while healing thyself.   Drumming is a powerful medium.  It mimics the heartbeat of Mother Earth.
